Yesterday, my husband was looking for a cheap but functional mobile phone and while roaming around the mall, we got into cellphone shop that sells cheap mobile phones, whose brands are rarely or never been heard; they also sell reconditioned units at a very affordable price starting from Php350.00.

I bought my Samsung Galaxy Y (S5360) last December 2012. For everybody's information Y stands for "young" as this model of Samsung Galaxy is especially designed for young people who loves various applications and sort of high-end cellphone but can't afford to buy it because it's kind of pricey.
Obviously, the Samsung Galaxy Y (S5360) is the cheapest among other Samsung Galaxy models but has specifications that is somewhat the same as its older Galaxy brothers. Although this is not my first time to have a touch screen phone I can say that Samsung Galaxy Y is different from other touch screen phones that I had because it's more sensitive and that a little tap is all it takes!

As a blogger, it is a good news for me to know that I can download a new innovation to image-capturing from web through
SnapIt Screen Capture. Before, I use to do it by "old school" ways, where I click PrtScr key from the keyboard, go to Paint and paste the image there for some cropping then save it afterwards. Hassle and time-consuming, right?
But, with this SnapIt Screen Capture software, my blogging life has never been easier. Let me tell you how and why. After downloading the software, its icon is minimized in my system's tray. When I see certain images that I would like to include in my posts, all I need to do is to click the PrtScr button from my keyboard and select with my mouse the area or the part of the image/s the I need (this will save my time to do some more cropping later). After selecting, magic! As it is automatically copied to the clipboard - or even saved on my specified location (this is possible by adjusting the settings).
As easy as that! And what I also like about this software is that it supports hotkeys for easy navigation and saves files in various files like BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG and TIFF formats, as well. So I don't need to worry about file compatibilities.
So, it is really a recommended tool for my fellow bloggers , as well as, for graphic designers, office workers, and even ordinary people who love to grab some images from their screen or from the web. Believe me, it really saves your precious time.

My Neo Notebook has already served me for more than two years already and I can say that it is still in good working condition, except for some delays in loading, maybe because of the files saved in it, since it only has a 100GB memory. It has been my wish to have a DSLR (Digital Signle Lens Reflex) camera since I saw it became "normal" to see everyone having it. As you may already known, I'm a tech and
gadget addict; the main reason I created this site.

Yes, finally, after some time, I was able to buy something for myself from the fruit of my labor, which is being awake in the wee hours, blogging and finding some online tasks after duty hours...It's the multifunctional gadget

Another computer threat is now roaming around and ready to attack you at your most vulnerable state. Beware of Kneber Botnet!
NetWitness, based in Herndon, Va., said it discovered the botnet last month during a routine deployment of its monitoring software. It investigated further and discovered “an extensive compromise of commercial and government systems that included 68,000 corporate login credentials, access to email systems, online banking sites, Facebook,Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO), Hotmail and other social networking credentials, 2,000 SSL certificate files, and dossier-level data sets on individuals including complete dumps of entire identities from victim machines,” the company said in a statement.
NetWitness said the attacks have been going on for about 18 months and appeared to originate in Europe and China. The company has shared its findings with the targeted companies and government agencies.
The company did not publicly identify the companies and government agencies with infected systems. A story in The Wall Street Journal said pharmaceutical maker Merck & Co. and Cardinal Health Inc. were among the companies with infected IT systems and those companies had contained the problem.
“Systems compromised by this Kneber Botnet provide the attackers with not only user credentials and confidential information, but remote access inside the compromised networks,” NetWitness CEO Amit Yoran said in the statement.
“These large-scale compromises of enterprise networks have reached epidemic levels. Cyber criminal elements, like the Kneber crew, quietly and diligently target and compromise thousands of government and commercial organizations across the globe,” Yoran said.

After several "sophisticated and targeted" cyber attacks too Google Gmail using the flaws of the Internet Explorer 6 (IE 6), Google phases out customer support for the said browser.
IE 6 is said to be the weakest link to the numerous cyber attacks, which said to be originated from China, where Gmails of several Chinese human rights activists have been hacked. In line with this, Google threatened to withdraw from the Chinese market due to these reported cyber attacks.

Motorola Droid smart phone based on Google-backed software hits the US market Friday, taking aim at mobile device powerhouses such as Apple, Nokia, and Research In Motion.
Droid, which will work on the Verizon telecom network, joins growing ranks of smart phones based on an open-source operating system spearheaded by Internet titan Google.
Taiwan-based HTC brought the first Android phone to market late last year.
Google chief executive Eric Schmidt recently proclaimed that the smart phone market was on the cusp of an "explosion" of Android devices.
Market tracking firm Gartner agrees, predicting that there will be at least 40 models of Android phones within a year, and that they will be the second place mobile platform by the end of 2012.
Reports surfaced on Thursday that Verizon is poised to add an HTC Android phone to its stable.
"In a few years Android will be the second most popular smart phone running neck-and-neck with Apple," Gartner analyst Van Baker told AFP on Thursday.
Apple iPhones have become coveted devices since they were introduced in early 2007.
Verizon and Motorola have managed to create a marketplace buzz with mysterious video featuring fighter jets releasing metal pods that slam like meteorites into forest, sea, and prairie.
