Nokia has finally ventured into a laptop business. As Nokia has been known for its classy and cool cellphone designs and features, they decided to produce the new Nokia Booklet 3G.
According to their press release, this product is uniquely designed as compared to their other competitors because this "bite-size" booklet has multifunction.
Below are the specifications of the new Nokia Booklet 3G:
It is going to have a 10.1-inch display with a 1280-by 720-pixel resolution.
The Booklet 3G will run either Windows 7 Starter Edition, Home Premium, or Professional on a 1.6 GHz Atom processor (no fan required). It will have 1 GB of RAM and a 120 GB hard drive.
All-Day Performance
Nokia is promising that this netbook will be good for up to 12 hours of use on a single charge.
Given its name, it's no surprise that the Booklet 3G will offer mobile broadband, and there will be versions for both N. America and the rest of the world. This will also include voice service. However, Nokia will give consumers the option to leave the modem out completely.
All versions will have Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR.
Ovi Enabled
Naturally, this device is going to come with a full suite of Nokia's desktop software: Ovi Suite 2.0, Nokia Music for PC, Ovi Maps, Social Hub, and Nokia software updater.
This company clearly intends for this device to be a companion for Nokia smartphone, not a replacement.
