You may now download the new PS 3 3.01 firmware for free and fix the issues that you have been dealing with the previous PS 3.00 version.

Since the SOny released the latter version two weeks ago, many users complained of having various issues with it. Now, they company released the new firmware to address those issues.

According to the official Sony Blog

the PS3 3.01 Firmware Update is just an optional update that doesn’t do much, it just improves the system stability while using some of the PS3 format software. Many PS3 users reported problems with the Uncharted, and DualShock controllers after update to PS3 3.00, and now they’re hoping that Sony has managed to overcome all the issues surrounding their gaming console.
